To teach, govern, and sanctify The cloak of St. Martin • Bishop Marc V. Trudeau was ordained to the priesthood in 1991. He has served as a parochial vicar, a pastor, and, in 2007, was named Chaplain to His Holiness by Pope Benedict. Msgr. Marc was appointed pastor of St. Margaret Mary Parish in Lomita in 2010. In 2014, he was named rector of St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo. He was named Auxiliary Bishop for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in 2018 and subsequently appointed as Episcopal Vicar for the San Pedro Pastoral Region where he currently serves.

Guide for the journey With us always • St. John Chrysostom (347-407) was trained as an orator, lived for a time with hermits, and then became a priest and archbishop of Constantinople. He wrote scriptural commentaries, treatises, and many letters. But his real talent shines through in his homilies, for which he became famous and was called Chrysostomos (the “golden mouth”). This excerpt from one of his homilies shares his confidence in Jesus to help him overcome all hardship.
